Email Campaigns for Linked Contact

I’m trying to set up an email campaign triggered by a gallery expiration ONLY to the linked contact in order to request reviews on Google and Facebook. This is something I’ve always done through email, but would love to automate it now that I’ve invested in Shootproof. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to link any contacts to a campaign EXCEPT gallery visitors.

I’ve tried to work around the campaign issue for now (as campaigns only seem to be linked to gallery visitors) and I have a template email created in Shootproof, but I also can’t just send it to a contact. If I go into my contacts and click “Email Contact”, I can see the drop-down menu option for the email template, but it’s greyed out and set to “Default”. Am I doing something wrong? Why can’t I use my email templates to email contacts? And why can’t I create campaigns specific to my Shootproof contacts/linked gallery contacts?

Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Karissa

Hey @KarissaJohnson!

I apologize for the delay in answering, I’ve tested out a few options, but there really isn’t a way to automate this. Email campaigns are designed to drive sales to the gallery, so the audiences  for campaigns are pre-set for segments of gallery visitors.

Your workaround is right, it sounds like the one detail to update is the Template Type. You should be able to go into your email template and change it to a “Gallery Visitor Message” - that template type can be sent to contacts from Contacts > Actions > Email Client.

Test that out and let me know if it works!

@Megan thank you so much! Although it’s not automatic, it’s still much easier than re-typing and sending it from my business email account every time. Thank you! I was able to test it out tonight and it worked perfectly.

Maybe in the future there will be more development on the CRM side of things where other aspects and communications can become more automated. Until then, this will work for me!

Thanks again,

Karissa

@KarissaJohnson that’s awesome and super smart. I hadn’t thought of doing that myself, honestly, and now I’m considering it!
