3D-secure payment???

Why does 3D-secure payment not work with Braintree. And why does ShootProof have no interest in making it work?
PayPall is not a solution as our customers is required to create a PayPall account, which they do not want.

 

ShootProof promised back in 2020 that they would be ready for 3D-secure payment by the turn of the year when the rules came into force in the EU. They did not want to keep this promise ... WHY?

Hi @SebastianBoeje ! I had to do some research on this for you, thanks for your patience! We have actively started working on fixing this, but don’t have a definitive timeline yet. Unfortunately we discovered additional work we need to undertake in order to support 3DS through the Braintree gateway. We are committed to finding a solution and will keep you updated. If you don’t solve this problem we are many customers outside US that has to change platform.

Hi @SofiaKarlsen! I just checked in with the Engineering team and they let me know that they are close to a fix for this issue. Because things can always come up at the last minute, they can’t give a specific date, but you should see an update on this very soon.

What is the update on this?

3D payments has really kicked in over here in Ireland and I lost about a €1K in sales from people not being able to pay online and a further 6 hours of manpower trying to deal with customers over the phone trying to figure out why Braintree would not work. 

Or an even easier question, why won’t Shoot Proof not just add Stripe as an Option?
