On the page that shows all the thumbnails of images in a gallery, across the top of the page is a bar several icons (HOME, INFO, AND FAVORITES). Nothing happens when I click on HOME. In fact, the cursor doesn’t even show it’s linked. With the other two icons the cursor changes to a hand with a pointy finger. What can I do to make that active? Thanks!
I’m sure my setup is a bit different then most. But I’m a free lance sports photographer that is trying to use shootproof to sell digital images. I want all my visitors to be able to browse all albums of all the past games I’ve uploaded. The problem is once I visit a gallery and check out images, hitting the home page button just takes me back to the start of that gallery. Not my actual homepage with all my other games and my “about me intro message”. The only way to get back to my homepage is to back click as many times as needed to rear hand it or type in my web address again. I realize I could make one “portfolio” album and all my galleries as sub albums inside that. But then I also lose the “about me” message on my home page. Once someone is in a album is there any quick way to get back to my actual domain homepage?
Hi I'm no longer offering the digital downloads as I don't edit all the pictures until the customers have selected them, so I don't want them buying and downloading them until they are completed. I did see you had an option for customers to buy the digitals and then I supply them but it charges my customers postage and I'm not sure how to take this off. Please can you help? Thanks
I love the fact that I can send clients both high and low res images. However, I’ve encountered issues with clients identifying which file size is which. A simple filename amendment (eg. _HR) would be very helpful. These can be added when creating a free digitals rule.
Ok, so when I started with shootproof, I thought the way to go was categories. Unfortunately, I figured out pretty far into it that this was a horrible idea as customers cannot purchase from different galleries (ugh). So I’ve started trying to rearrange that. But now I’ve run into another problem in that I believe I cannot move one sub-album into another sub-album without either moving the images out of the sub-album and then back into a new one or re uploading the entire sub-album. Both options suck, the former less so, but still time consuming. Can someone tell me if my summation about the process is correct? Or if there is a way to do what I want without the extra steps? Sorry i’m a little salty, we made the switch from zenfolio, and while you can’t ever get your thumbnails to display with them (like ever), the backend process was SO much easier. I guess it’s all a trade off.

I offer Wall packages & Keepsake Packages. The Wall packages have sections like Wood Prints, Canvas Prints, Gallery Block Prints. The Keepsake packages have sections like Photobooks, Gift Prints. All in all, they have to scroll through over a hundred options. Being able to group packages would be better. “Wall Art Package” etc.
I've been using shootproof for several months. It has been asked several times, also via the blog, to add stripe as a means of payment. To date, my customers are still unable to pay online as paypal and the other suggested methods do not work in Europe. Until now I have not heard anything about it. What is the point of being allowed to vote what will be made if nothing happens anyway? No communication is given about this. Please answer immediately, so that we finally know what is going to happen.
Hi all, We do volume underwater photography. We provide the swim school with all the photos once the parents have made their purchases and photos are archived. We most often run over the Shootproof 2500 limit for the ‘download all’ photos. I generally only want to give the pools the ‘social resolution’ images, and so I find myself having to re-export from LR (which is clunky because there are different photographers/editors) to send the social resolution files to the swim school. Has anyone found an elegant way to get around the 2500 ‘download all” limit?
I offer a gift print package that includes 5 prints and the matching digital file. I don’t want to limit the package to a certain size. I want the client to pick the size print that is right for them. There is no way to do this in packages. I can set up a discount that works as it should, but I only show packages, not individual items. So there is no way for them to make that discount work.
I had an awful issue today where I had to have the client place an order and I will have to refund them the discount they should have been able to get, all because I can’t apply the discount I need to anything ordered with packages. I provide my clients with 10% OFF their digital orders when they purchase $500 in wall art. Well, the wall art they almost always purchase are wood prints that come in “clusters” which i had to create in the packages section. That was frustrating enough but now I can’t create a custom discount? Shouldn't we get to decide what can and can not be applied to products we offer? A lot of flexibility here would make this much more simple for the user and our clients.Additionally, I offer wood prints in clusters and some are available individually. However, the lab I use provides these clusters with strange sizes that I can not offer individually (ie these sizes are only available in the clusters) So, I had to put these strange sizes in to the gallery as individu
Hello. According to the little video ‘Get to know price sheets’, Shootproof is “ in agreed with some of the best print labs worldwide”. So ‘worldwide’ is outside the USA and as far as I can see there is Loxely lab in the UK but no other lab in Europe. Or have I missed one/some? So my question is where are these ‘worldwide’ selection of the best print labs located? Many thanks. Paul OatwayOATWAYPHOTO
Hi! I have this option turned on: Hide Album Photo Count Keep the number of images held within an album hidden within the client view However, when the gallery is opened from the client’s end, the gallery shows the total photo count in the main page. The album’s do not show the totals as the option is applied correctly, but the whole gallery shows it. Is there a way to change this?
Hello,I see you can have a ‘packages only’ option in the cart options for customers galleries, which is great, however I would like to include at least one ‘a la carte’ option in the price sheet too. So this means an ability to hide specific a la carte items. Is this possible? In my case I still want to have the option for clients to purchase individual Print Sizes rather than have to put prints in to a package - as I don’t know how this would work when the package would be a qty of 1??Can anyone advise please any suggestions or solutions I could use?thanks!
Sorry if this has been asked before. My question is this: I take sports team photos and I offer individual photos at a price and I offer team photos at a different price with a discount if clients purchase both. I can’t put team photos in the same gallery as individual photos as shootproof doesn’t know the difference between them. Which means putting team photos in one gallery and individual photos into another. Is there a way of still offering a discount if a client choose a team photo and an individual photo? Cheers, Peter
