How do my clients install a Mobile App?

Mobile apps provide a great way to personalise and elevate your client experience. It’s important however that your client knows exactly HOW to download, install and use their app.

 

The following information is for photographers to share with their clients (you could embed this into your client communication emails or even have it on your website!)

You can copy and paste the instructions below to help your clients install their Mobile Apps to a phone or tablet:

iOS & Apple Devices

1. Open the email sent by your photographer on your mobile device.

2.  Click the link in the email.

3.  Follow the on-screen instructions to open the link and add it to your home screen.

Android Devices

1. Open the email sent by your photographer on your mobile device.

2.  Click the link in the email.

3.  Follow the on-screen instructions to click the menu button and add the App to your home screen.

 

*On some Android devices, it is necessary to follow these steps:

1. Click on the Bookmarks menu.

2. Long press on the thumbnail image for the App.

3. Choose Add to Home Screen.

 

* At this time, Android does not provide a way to know when the app is fully installed. Therefore, some Android users will see an install screen each time they attempt to open the app. While this cannot be disabled, it does not prohibit the app from working correctly once opened.

Troubleshooting

  • If your client is having trouble locating the option to bookmark, make sure that when they are opening the link to download the Mobile App on their device that the link is opening in the native browser.
    • Apple users must open the link in Safari
    • Android users must open the link in Chrome
