Auto-generate passwords for sub albums

I am getting a school shoot ready for delivery.  I did this last year no problem, but have run into some glitches this year.  First, I have the photos organized by class- when I used the desktop uploader, it didn’t upload the parent folder, only the individual student folders.  Then, when I went to the website, there wasn’t an easy way to move each individual student into their class folder.  It was cumbersome, but I now have each student in their class folder.  Problem now is that I can only seem to auto-generate passwords for the parent gallery, not the sub-albums.  Last year, I was able to keep the class folder open and then generate a password for each individual student.  I am stuck and have spent too much time figuring this out.  Has something changed?  Anyone have a suggestion?

I’m glad it’s not just me! I sent an email question a few days ago and just left a message for a call back. Were you able to remedy the problem? I really don’t want to have to manually make the passwords for the entire school!

I talked to customer service and they said it’s a known problem. :-( I asked them to move this to the top of their to-do list!

I apologize Emily,  just saw your reply!  I was not able to remedy and it was incredibly frustrating!!  I  had to manually make them up for 60 kids and I have another 45 up next.  I actually made some typos too when sharing, which was my fear.  It really created SO MUCH more work for.  So disappointed- its honestly one of those features that was a life saver for me!

I took a past cvs spreadsheet and copied the password column and pasted into new csv  sheet. Then copy and pasted password for each kid’s album. Still a pain but I didn’t have to make up passwords and copy/paste helped with typos. Hope it’s resolved soon. This is not cool!
