Save time with the Desktop UploaderTip of the Week
Did you know we have a separate tool to upload photos to ShootProof? If you’ve solely been using the ‘Add Photos’ button in your browser to upload, stop right now and download the ShootProof Desktop Uploader! It’s quicker, more efficient, and you can even queue up multiple galleries so that when one finishes, the next gallery starts uploading right away. The Desktop Uploader works wonders if you have a slow or intermittent internet connection. Instead of stalling the upload, the Uploader will pause and resume the upload as soon as the connection is restored. But the best part about the Uploader Tool? -- It’ll organize your galleries and sort the photos into albums based on how they’re organized on your computer. So, if you have a folder called “The Smith Wedding” on your computer, and in that folder, you have subfolders like “Getting Ready,” “Family Portraits,” etc, the Uploader Tool will automatically create albums within the ShootProof gallery. The albums will be named to match the s
Save time with gallery presetsTip of the Week
Are you editing each of your gallery settings individually when you create gallery? Don’t do it! Save time and energy by using gallery presets. Gallery presets are one of the most under-used features in ShootProof. So what is a gallery preset? It’s a way to save your settings for common gallery types that can be applied before the gallery is created. So grab yourself a cup of coffee, set aside 15-20 minutes, and let’s create a few gallery presets! First, go to Photos > Galleries > Gallery Presets. If you’ve never created one before, you’ll notice that you have a Default Preset already created for you. If your galleries are mainly the same, use the Default Preset but it might make sense to create a few based on the types of galleries you traditionally create. To create a new preset, select New Preset. Give it a name. This will be internal to you and not visible to clients. (Pro tip: keep them name simple so it’s easy to reference on the fly.) When you’re in the pre
Hi, I’ve noticed today my photos will not upload to any of my galleries right now. I’ve confirmed I am not at my storage limit and even deleted some just to make sure it wasn’t close. Any ideas if it’s just down or a bug or something? I’m trying to get a gallery out to a client.
Hi, Is there a way to add multiple contacts to a gallery? For example, I shoot a lot of editorial content, and I often need to send the proofs to multiple people consistently - like the art director, project manager, retoucher, etc. Right now I can only assign one contact to the folder, and then I have to constantly manually add additional contacts. It would be much more convenient to assign multiple contacts to a gallery.
When I preview a gallery, the quality of the images is not good. I know they are tack sharp on my end but the gallery my clients see are not high quality. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting somewhere I need to change?I need my clients to see the quality of my work and right now that isn’t happening.
The last few galleries I have tried to upload, have been extremely slow! Like all night type slow. I recently downloaded the desktop uploader because I saw that is supposed to be faster and it is still taking a really long time. Is there any one else dealing with this? Does it have anything to do with the amount of galleries I already have in Shootproof?

I have a prom group who I would like to do a bulk lab order - ship it to me and then I would disperse to each parent. I am wanting to still let them pay the shipping cost but when I choose “Allow pick-up only” it removes shipping altogether. Why is this? Is there a way to let the client(s) still pay for shipping even on pick-up orders?

So I am in the process of checking out SP to replace SmugMug and have a few questions:Has anyone integrated SP with CaptureOne? I am using BayPhoto as my lab and they seem to offer more products on the SmugMug side of things, and they seem to offer more options. Will some of these other products be integrated? Is there any mechanism to show a customer online proofs for them to pick their favorites before the final edits are completed? On smugMug, I can purchase prints for myself at cost. Can this be done here too? Thanks
My wedding clients are expecting about 600 images. I often have several hundred additional images. I’d like to offer those additional images as an upsell when the gallery is delivered. I’m using Linked Contacts and have historically allowed them to download full-resolution of the entire gallery. I like the idea of the client seeing an additional album that is “locked” (password protected), while the remainder of their gallery is fully accessible (viewing and downloading). I want them to see that additional images are available, but they must purchase access to the additional images. How do I do this while preventing the Linked Contact from viewing and downloading the password protected album?

Tip of the Week: Keep your Galleries Secure with Passwords!Tip of the Week
Gallery security basics: Private: If your gallery is "private," only visitors who have the direct link to the gallery will be able to access the gallery. Public: If your gallery is "public," meaning it shows up on your ShootProof Homepage, anyone with the link to your ShootProof Homepage will be able to see that this Active gallery exists. If you have a password on the gallery, only visitors who know the password will be able to enter the gallery when they arrive.Passwords can be used on both Public and Private galleries Pre-release: Pre-Release is an optional gallery setting that will allow visitors to enter their email address prior to the photos being released for viewing and purchasing. ShootProof will collect the visitors' email addresses on your behalf, and they will be visible to you in the 'Gallery Visitors' view of your ShootProof Studio Panel.Active: Active galleries are live and able to be viewed by visitors.Inactive: Inactive galleries are not available for viewing. We usually edit our JPEGS before they are sent out, since most Dance Festival photos need cropping and tweaking. It would be great to be able to send them out from Shootproof, using a standard email, rather than having to construct one for every order. Obviously we would need to re-upload the images.Alternatively, we currently use a dropbox link for the client, so a standard email with the option to past in a dropbox link would save a lot of time.
How do I send an individual email to a gallery visitor without having to cut and paste their email address? Seems like we could just click, write and send, but I don’t see that option. I like ShootProof, but it has it’s stress points!
I NEED to be able to assign different price sheets to different albums within a gallery. So important.
As a dog show photographer I like to offer a discount for ordering early but have different prices for different albums...ringside photos/win photos/portraits. The discount is on a cart total incrementally. The only way to do that is to be able to have different price sheets assigned to different albums within the gallery. I will be looking for a place to be able to do that.
I would love to be able to assign different price sheets to multiple albums within a gallery. I have not figured out how to do this. Is this possible and if not, why don’t we have this feature. It seems it would be very easy to add. I have to end up making multiple galleries for the same school. One example would be that I upload images for a soccer team. Then I use those same images on other templates that I sell as only larger images (16x20 or 20x30) only. Being able to assign more than 1 price list would solve this problem and allow me to have fewer galleries or have my parents look in multiple places to find their photos. Thanks.
This is a HUGE issue for me. I do everything self-fulfilled and I get about a hundred people every time I upload a gallery messaging me wondering why they are charged shipping on digitals. I have it setup where it cancels itself out but I am still confused as to why this is even something I have to work around.Digitals should not have shipping added, regardless of who fulfills the order. PLEASE work on this.
For sure on IOS devices, people are telling me and I confirmed, that the “DOWNLOAD” button for an image disappears once it’s pressed, without always going to the page to enter their email and download. So far every time clients have used the Digital Downloads features, it’s been troublesome. Are others using this feature without issue?
