I really like the idea of them. I am learning about ShootProof to see if I’m going to switch gallery providers. There are some great features that are not available with my current gallery provider.

Thank you so much for this webinar! :)

im also new to shootproof and trying to decide if I want to switch. I think I will, there is a lot more option than what I am currently using.

I haven’t done an intro message before but it’s a great tip! Thanks for all the helpful info!!

Yes I love that feature! I use a video intro message when I photograph dance studios showing parents what options are available and what they can order. Once I started doing this, my pre-ordering emails/phone calls dropped dramatically!

Yes, I use the text intro and the video intro. In the text intro., I just tell them why I have full resolution images and low resolution/watermarked images and how to use them. Once we meet for our view and order session and I go over how to navigate through the gallery and order, I include an intro. video message on how to order, which is one of your tutorials through Shoot Proof.

I would LOVE to see other people’s intro videos - so many clients seem to have trouble with the flow of choosing favorites, downloading images, etc. I must just not be making it clear enough for them.

I haven’t used it but would love to see some examples to get some inspiration on how I can! :)

I already use them

It ‘s quite easy to interact with a client

I had no idea about the banner -- definitely going to use now! Thanks for all the great tips.

Can you give some specifics about what types of options you give them? Thanks, Dave!

I guess it’s time to start using banners.   I would love to see one where the photographer goes over the ordering process

Could you show us an example of video you use? Thanks

I had not really used them much before just text messages, now after your webinar I have a better idea of ways to use them!! Thank you!!

I set one intro but totally forgot about the feature. I want to focus on fun memories or something personal they share with me during their shoot; specifically my seniors especially with how COVID is changing their senior year experiences. I feel it will create a long lasting relationship with my clients knowing I am engaging in their life and not just taking their photos.

Thanks,

Portia

I am also new to the business side of photography. I hope this question is allowed but I am wondering what is the best way to send invoices to clients for the actual session? Say I want them to pay a retainer and the rest the day of or before. How do I know they paid without having to check my PayPal every time? Im hoping to find the fastest and easiest route. Im not sure if I should use shoot proof for the session or just for prints? Im doing my first mini sessions next month and I dont know what booking service I will use either.

For me it’s always about the constant engagement with the client.  Weekly e-mails, phone calls, winning a session this month.  A Happy client is one that will speak about you to their friends.

I wonder if a super short video clip from the session might be nice to use here. Just a three-second, maybe slow-mo clip taken on a phone during the session. I had no idea about this feature until now, looking forward to exploring it.

Thank you!

I do use it to offer the “Promo Code” for discounts on prints ordered.  Now I’ll be using the banner as well.  Thanks for the great info.

Karen:  What is your recommendation for an opening banner / video?

Is it possible to use  a text and a video message in same banner ?

@pawzthemoment -  You can set up installments with certain due days, so you could have a pre-payment due upon booking, then the balance due before the shoot. Check out this tutorial!

@JoelHarris  From examples I’ve seen, the type of Gallery Intro you use depends a bit on the client type. For example, if you’re doing school photos, a video about ordering would probably work best, while a newborn session would benefit more from a quick slideshow or even a video that you took while shooting :)

@ChristopherMcKinnon You can only have one type of intro per gallery :)

@EvelineDierynck , @KaraHendricks  or @DaveDabour  -Willing to share your examples? 😉 If not, I totally understand :)

We have a blog post that shows a couple of examples - anyone wanting to check that out can click here!
