Hi, since a recent update on my iMac I can no longer hear the playlist I have added to client slideshows when I preview their galleries. Anyone else found this issue? Anyone know how to fix?

Hey @JennyBeckett I’m trying to wrap my head around this because it’s so strange. Can you tell me if you do hear other things through your iMac in other programs? Or is this just limited to ShootProof?

Hi it just seems to be with Shootproof - sound works fine via my mac in other programs

I wonder if the software update reset browser-level permissions for sound? If you’re using Safari, try clicking on “Safari” in the upper left hand corner, and check “Settings for this Website” and see if there are speaker settings that are off.

I'm having the issue too and it’s driving me insane!! If I access the gallery on my phone and click on slideshow music plays. I also sent gallery to a friend to test out and music plays fine on her pc. Sound is playing from my MacBook with everything else just not shootproof!  Did you have any joy figuring out what issue is yet?

I updated the Safari settings and still no joy with shootproof. When I click on the volume icon in the corner of a slideshow it comes up with some sort of unsafe java script message but nothing I can click on to fix.

Do we have any update on this? I have been told that it is due to the latest Apple update but it is loosing the whole ‘experience’ for clients viewing slideshows on Apple phones (which most of mine seem to be trying to do!)

I am having the same issue as well with music not playing in the galleries on my Mac (laptop) which has been updated to the new iOS system. I have tried everything, but it is still not working…. Hope to get this resolve soon since I am having a bunch of clients review appointments in the coming weeks! Thank you for your support!

I’m having the same issue however, reversed. The music plays on my computer and my clients but it won’t play on their phones..Any solution?

Music works on my iPhone but not when my husband or friend access the galleries on their phones.

if this paid for feature is not working properly, will we be issued reimbursements?

I just re-read the conversation and wanted to add. The music seems to play in Chrome Browser but not Safari.

I’m having this same issue. I have to go to my iPhone (also Safari) to see if I like the music with my gallery or not.

I just found out about this issue and it’s very frustrating. I’m very annoyed that my clients may not be hearing the music I specifically reference and spend time selecting. How long has this been going on without my knowledge?! It makes me look unprofessional amd im also wasting money and time.  I also have personal projects that I use the music for that are not working. What am I paying for? Between this and photos literally disappearing from my galleries without warning, I’m having a hard time talking myself into staying with Shootproof. I am losing revenue, paying for services that are not working and have not been offered recompense. What is happening here? I teach classes to hundreds of people and always recommend Shootproof, but I cannot do it in good conscience anymore.

This is SO frustrating! Makes me wonder how long I have been lying to my clients telling them they have music on their slideshows. I just took a long time creating the perfect music and will NOT play. Since you've had over a month to fix this and still not working, you NEED to give us refunds for a service you are NOT providing!! Unacceptable

I am also having problems with music not playing on iphones. Very very frustrating considering that I am paying for this feature. Do we have a fix yet?

Having the same issue with Safari, however the music works in Chrome so I’ve been running my slideshows there for IPS. Such a pain! I have gone into the Preferences menu in Safari and enabled Auto-Play for the Shootproof website as a side note and it made no difference, which was recommended when I searched the web. The problem seems to not be specific to Shootproof and experienced by other Safari users as well. 

I am running macOS Big Sur. Please keep us updated!
