Identity Not Found

I have tried several times to sign up with the Shootproof payment system, and every time it gives me an error that my identity was not found. I don’t understand how this is happening, since I’m giving everything including my SS number there?! I’m just a part-timer, and I don’t have money for the $30 a month fee for the other payment processors. Why is this such a huge deal? Could it be because I had previously signed up in Canada, and now have moved back to the US?

I am considering switching platforms even though I absolutely love everything else about Shootproof, because I can’t sell anything, which is frankly dumb. I should at least be able to connect my PayPal or bank account!

Has anyone else experienced this and had it fixed??

Hi @TaiSophia I’m so sorry this is happening and it sounds very strange. I don’t understand it either. This definitely sounds like something that support should help with if you haven’t tried already. I’m going to turn this into a support ticket and see if they can help you figure this out.

Thank you! Unfortunately no one in support seems to have a fix. I have tried everything they have suggested. I just switched over to a different gallery service for the time being, because it is a huge drawback not being able to sell prints.

And the new gallery service had no issues getting me set up at all. So, I have no idea what the issue is from, except maybe it has something to do with having created my account from within Canada originally, and now living in the USA? But I have changed the settings I thought were important for my move….and nothing.
