Hi friends! Welcome to the ShootProof Community. We can’t wait to get to know you- so let’s start out with proper introductions. Who are you? What type of photography do you do? Do you have a cute pet or favorite plant? How do you take your coffee?

We are thrilled to have you here with us.

I’m Megan, the Customer Community Manager at ShootProof. You’ll see me around here quite a bit 😉Extroverted by nature, I thrive when I get to be around amazing people. If you’ve been to see ShootProof at a trade show in the last year and a half, there’s a chance we met. Traveling lights my heart on fire, so I try to sneak in adventures as often as I can. My pup and I live in Smyrna, GA, and he loves long walks and playing with his toys. When I’m not working or traveling, I run my boudoir photography studio out of my home. I’m addicted to podcasts- if you’ve listened to Dolly Parton’s America or Office Ladies, we need to talk!

Hi Megan! Happy to be here! This is Ryan Sims (the guy who took a selfie with you at Imaging USA lol). I photograph a lot of stuff but I guess you could say people recognize me for my work with…..SUPERHEROES!!! I do a lot of cosplay photography & Photoshop compositing. I do have a cute (& slightly annoying pet) named Duke. He’s weenie dog & thinks he owns the place. I take my coffee one of 2 ways: either black or with EVERYTHING in it. All or nothing.

Thrilled to be here!

Hellooooo! I’m Carrie Swails and I am a nerdy feminist photographer photographing diverse, inclusive, and non-traditional weddings wherever people take me. I’m based out of the remote mountains of Colorado. I have 3 cute dogs, 1 cute baby, and 1 handsome spouse. I can not pick a favorite plant, but I can tell you that as a third grade teacher in my spare time my class did name two of my plants, Bob and Jeff.

I take my CBD-infused coffee black, like my soul.

Hey everyone! My name is James Scott and I’m the VP Customer Success here at ShootProof - which means it’s my team’s job to help ensure our customers (like you!) have the tools, knowledge and support they need to build successful, sustainable businesses on ShootProof.

My team consists of our awesome Product Support Specialists (call them anytime!), as well as Onboarding Specialists, a Customer Learning Manager and our wonderful Customer Community Manager, @Megan!

I was born in Oxford, England but have lived in London, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Atlanta in the last couple of decades. I married an American and now have two beautiful dual-nationality daughters. Along the way we picked up two dogs, a cat and two hamsters. Am I forgetting anyone?

Although I’m not a photographer myself, I love nothing more than seeing solopreneurs and small business owners build thriving businesses around something they’re passionate about. This is what gets me out of bed in the mornings (although the promise of a cup of tea helps too!).

And as I have a camera-shy wife and two kids that won’t sit still, I spent ages looking for a decent photo of us all. In the end I’m settling on this completely random selfie from a recent Uber ride that I think captured the spirit of our crazy family.

I can’t wait to see this community grow into a valuable resource for our loyal and loved customers.

En-route to the airport for a long weekend in Nashville, TN.

My name is Angele. I have spent the better part of a lifetime experiencing and recording the world I encounter from behind the viewfinder of a camera. I have over 20 years of professional experience as a graphic designer and even more years under my belt as a certified Apple computer technician. Consequently, I bring an unusual combination of creative and technical skills to the photographic arts. Unlike most of you I do very little event or portrait photography. Instead, the vast majority of my images range from broad landscapes to modern architecture. My real passion however is capturing the ancient native ruins and ghost towns of the American Southwest. My photos and travel articles have appeared in multiple magazines, and I just started to make my photos available to the public through my own website and gallery as well as through internet sites like Getty Images, gallery shows and art shows.

Hi friends!

I’m Rachel LaCour Niesen––photographer, serial entrepreneur, former founder (ShootQ) writer, and Director of Product Marketing at ShootProof––but more important, I’m a wife to a gifted photographer turned software developer (Andrew) and mom to an energetic little boy (Edward.)

My background is journalism, so curiosity and storytelling are two of my favorite traits in people. At my core, I’m a storyteller who believes photographs play a vital role in preserving world history and family history. That’s actually why I chose to pursue photojournalism; I wanted a front row seat to world history.

A decade later, when I stumbled upon wedding photography, I quickly traded my front row seat to world history for a front row seat to family history. Photographing a milestone like a wedding was an ideal way for me to merge my interest in storytelling with my love of family history.

For over a decade, I photographed hundreds of weddings for families. I was honored to be a family historian with a camera. Now, as I look back, I realize that my dual experience as a photojournalist and a wedding photographer perfectly prepared me to launch my ongoing passion project, Save Family Photos. My mission reflects my training and my passion: to save and share family stories, one photo at a time.

I’m honored to be here, listening to your stories and hopefully helping you recognize the tremendous value of what you do. Memories matter. Thank you for documenting them so beautifully. 💙

Hi! I’m Karen, the Customer Learning Manager at ShootProof.  My job is to make sure you have the tools to learn how to get everything you need (and more!) out of ShootProof. If you’ve ever been to any of our webinars, you probably already know me :)  I was a ShootProof user before coming to work here - that’s how much I believe in our product.

My husband and I are the lucky parents of 3 amazing kids, and I’m also mom to 2 dogs, 6 fish, 4 snails, a hermit crab and a bearded dragon.  I just realized that the mammals in my house are outnumbered

I suffer from “photographer with no photos of my own family” syndrome, so here’s a picture of one of my dogs when she was a pup - if this doesn’t make you smile, nothing will!

Hey Guys,

Richie here from ProPhoto.ie. We are a Sports, Events & Corporate Photography company based in Ireland.

We specialise in having a team of photographers at events capture all the action and selling the prints instantly to parents of the kids taking part. We also have photo booth, video booths, corporate phototainment solutions.

We use shootproof for selling extra event photos after the event. It is not the perfect solution for as, but it is doing 80% of the job that we need it to do. So I am happy to be here and to learn more about it and help it to adapt a little more for event photographers.

Hey there!

We’re a unique team Matt & Nicole Nicholson that focuses on creative clients for all standard services.

What does that mean for the type of photography we do? Well, the reality is, we do families, newborns, weddings and oddly importantly also cosplay.

It’s all very unique & circular market for us not to mention a little unpredictable but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Only one of us drinks coffee ( usually with lots of chocolate ) and Roxy is one of the crazy little member of the team. The other two are Talia & Gabriel seen below.

I’m Katy! I own Katy Davis Photography based in Indianapolis, Indiana. I’ve been photographing weddings and families for over 13 years. My second favorite place in the world is Mackinac Island, Michigan. I have 4 dogs (it’s too many, but I want 100 more), and recently had a cat move into my garage. She seems purrfectly content being a garage kitty. I also enjoy a good pun.

Hey, we’re Phillip and Eileen Blume! It’s great to meet you all!

We like to think of the world as our studio, but we operate from our home base in rural Georgia. We have three young kids whom we homeschool (and who thankfully love globe-trotting with us as we teach workshops or shoot destination weddings). *Any fellow ComeUnity photographers in here?! Woot woot!! :D

We’ve been photographers professionally since 2008, in which time we’ve learned a lot! We’re open books, so always feel free to reach out. And we look forward to learning a lot from you, too. :)

In Unity,

Hi There!

My name is Damion Hamilton and I have been a professional photographer since 2002 and live in the beautiful city of Napa, CA, wine country.  Started out doing portraiture, weddings, etc, then moved into corporate & private events!   With our team of photographers across the nation, we pretty much do any kind of event anywhere from 10 people to 50,000  I absolutely love the challenges of large multi-day events,  but when I need a break from photographing people, I also shoot food and anything that has to do with the making of wine!  I think fast prime lenses are the best thing in the world and if I had to chose one lens to shoot on all day and night it would be the Sigma Art 105mm f/1.4.

I am blessed with a wife of 22 years, 2 daughters (19 & 13) and a 20yr old cat that just keeps going!!  I take my coffee, sweet & creamy!!

Looking forward to meeting you all real soon!!

Hi! Hope everyone’s body, brain, and business are surviving quarantine.

I’m Chris Gifford. My studio, Weddings by Two, is based between NYC and Philly, but I live in a small “country” town in NJ.

I started my photography career in the magazine world, worked my way to a photo editor position, then realized shooting my own weddings and portraiture is much more fun. I’ve been shooting weddings for 9 years now, mostly in NYC, but also all over.

My wife and I have one infant, who is a wonderful distraction these days.

Hope we can share some info and entertain one another!

Hi Guys, I shoot newborn, children and family. I live 20 min. across the river from St. Louis MO in the same home for 40 yrs, remodeled three times, done. I have a professional studio in the whole lower level of my home. I took it an inch at a time, even the kitchen. I have done photography for 30 yrs. but only started my studio 8 ½ yrs ago. I do some location work but for the most part I work in the studio. I have several props, backdrops and outfits for my customize sessions. I also do traditional sessions, but it is fun to play  🙂. I am a young 67, I got married at 15 and this June will be 52 yrs. I have four adult children, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren one on the way in August. I LOVE it! I also have a neuromuscular medical condition that limits the time and energy I spend a week. My favorite mentor is Kelly Brown in Australia. I use a Canon 5D Mark III and my go to lens is a 24-70 2.8 Canon lens. I have several other lens’ but rarely use them. My drink of choice is a Diet Mountain Dew

Hey all, my name’s Gabriel. I live in Miami. I have been a photographer for a couple of decades, dallying in everything from fashion to photojournalism, but it’s when I found my niche in endurance sports in late 2017 that I finally opened a proper business. Right now all the events I cover - road and mountain bike racing, triathlons, charity bike rides, etc. - are postponed or cancelled, but they will be back. I recently had a selection of my race photography in the Nikon magazine, N-Photo, and last year I was featured in Shotkit.

I am working on ways to make money in this current era, and I can’t wait to go back out and shoot again. Thanks for having me.
